1. Runway Love by Nicole Musoni | Rwanda represents via way of Montreal
2. Let’s Dance by Ibibio Sound Machine | I absolutely think the sound of this band is so ultra cool and ultra chic. I introduced you all a little while back.
3. Love Rocks by Sarkodie ft. Samini | Ghanaians finally have two of their favorite artists collaborating on a track and video.
4. Shekini by P-Square | Fun dance video by Nigeria’s P-Square. Good to see the duo try songs infused with the Yoruba language. Although I am used to their igbo influences.
5. Nigerian by Akin | LOL! This video made me laugh. Akin looks very uncomfortable playing the role of a successful man. I think the tribute is so sweet. It reminds me of 2Face’s classic hit African Queen.
6. Bad Girl Special by Mr. 2Kay ft. Patoranking. | Patoranking recently signed a 17.1million record deal. This video has been out since October but I’m just getting to sharing plus Patoranking seems to do no wrong.
7. No Shortcut to Heaven ft. Obrafour by M.anifest | From the Ghanaian-American stables. M.anifest doing his thing. One of the best career moves he did was to return to Ghana/do the Ghana-US juggle. It’s served him well. I love the video.
8. Paper by BOJ | Smooth vocals, chill video. I dig. LOL! at the Celestial Church of Christ characters used to demonstrate his hard prayers for money i.e. paper.
9. I No Go Fear by Anny | Gospel remains a very big genre in Nigeria and Africa’s music industry. Anny has some strong vocals.
10. Ife by Pasuma ft. Tina Savage | If it has fuji in it or is fuji influenced, there is 99% chance I will like it.
Have a great week ahead and catch you all soon.
Cheers,
Uduak
