I always get a kick when my non-Nigerian friends approach me and attempt to sing some of the tunes to hit songs by Nigerian artists. I think it is cute and a very warm gesture of taking the time to know another culture. 🙂 Nigerian Afrobeats music is slowly but surely gaining even more global appeal. It is an exciting time for Nigerian music and its industry.

For those married to, related to, or who simply have friends that are Nigerians, here are the 20 hottest Nigerian songs of 2015 and the artists who made them. These songs rocked parties, weddings, clubs, and even churches (The Godwin song) on the continent and in the African diaspora.
