AML Music: May-D ‘Ile Ijo’ (Video) – @MisterMayD

Nice to see Jason Njoku’s IROKO step it up on promotions and marketing of its artist works licensed to it. There is now a designated in-house Publicist marketing and promoting music content licensed to IROKO by Nigerian artists. The IROKO only logo no longer greets me on some of their latest uploads and overall, there is deliberate effort to place the attention on the artists rather than IROKO, exclusively. Good look Jason/IROKO.

Here is an excerpt of the feature request I received for May-D’s latest video via IROKO:

Akinmayokun Awodumila aka Mr. May-D releases his latest video – ILE IJO.

This exclusive video is brought to you by SQUARE RECORDS and was directed by Clarence Peters – Capital Dreams Pictures. Spicing this eclectic video is the celebrated dancer, Kaffy – winner of the Nokia Danceathon Competiton 2006. There were also cameo appearances by Davido and Shank.

May-D is the first artiste to be officially signed on Square Records, proudly powered by multiple award-winning singers, P Square. His debut single Sound Track, was one of the best songs to hit the Nigerian dance floor in a long time.
