AML Top Music Videos of the Week | Camila, Crush, Itz Tiffany, Raquel, EVA, Dr. Sid

The ladies stepped it up this week with releases of new music videos. They are also some of my favorite females in Africa’s music industry. Good to see them pushing and staying focused. I also added a few clips from our music industry Latin brothers and sisters and of course our South Korean ones too. It’s always good to see what our counterparts are doing and of course step our game up.

Have a great day AML people.

Cheers,
Uduak

Camila ‘Decidiste Dejarme’ 1 of the top 5 hot music videos from the Latin music market right now. It’s obvious why.

Crush, ‘Hug Me’ft. Gaeko (‘Dem South Koreans be handling it y’all, really. They might incorporate Western influences in their music but they perfect it and take it to a whole new level, in general.)

Itz Tiffany ‘Spanner’ (Ghana)(By far one of my favorite female artists out of Africa. Her “swag” is just always on point and effortless. This combination with Fuse is deadly. She also just signed with Fuse’s label. Congrats girl! GH represent. :))

Raquel I Won’t Cry’ (Ghana) (Yet Another Ghanaian female artist handling it.)

EVA ‘Shots on Shots’ (Nigeria) (Warning: Explicit Content/Language)
(Y’all knew Eva had to send a subliminal message to Ice to fall back on the talk about dating her. That’s old news why do we need to keep seeing it in the press? Y’all done move on. Enough already Ice, please. In any event, what better way than to take his beat and show him how to rap? She may not have meant it that way but that is how I am choosing to interpret it. Ice needs to learn how to rap, really. Eva, congrats on minimizing the cursing so we can actually hear what you are saying and see your skills shine through.)

Dr. Sid ‘Baby’ (Nigeria)
I feel somehow about this video. It feels somewhat spooky to have all these adults appear to sexualize a baby’s playground, from infancy state. Is it just me? I am also not sure what the really story line is here. Also, at the end when the parents show up and find their infant on the floor and they sort of coo, and that’s it? That scene was weird to me. Anyway, the video was published this week and has been gaining attention.

I would have added Tiwa’s but we don kill the matter for blogosphere so that’s it.
