Celebrities Behaving Badly: (Graphic Photo) EME’s Banky W Denies Ménage à Trois Breast Feeding Picture

When I examine the industry news coming out of my neck of the woods, here in the states, in the first week of this new year, the difference is clear when compared to Nigeria’s music industry. So far so good, on the US end, there are strong business deals, law suits that have been resolved in settlement agreements, and other suits which went to trial and produced interesting results. In addition, there have been trend reports, forecasting, among many.

In contrast, on the Nigeria end of things, it has been a series of ‘Celebrities Behaving Badly’ (CBB) News and it appears it won’t stop anytime soon. Needless to say, we’ve got to get back to the business of making money i.e. music business.

Having said that, I have been meaning to write about Banky W for a while. Specifically, I wanted to discuss his overgrown and outdated styles in the videos he appears where he acts like he is some spoilt little kid in a candy shop with no self control. His videos, of late, especially those he is making an appearance with fellow colleagues, show him doing what is so boring at this point coming from a thirty something year old executive. He is always surrounded by all kinds of female extras in these videos and has this irritating expression from his body movements to the way he interacts with these women that is annoying to watch.

In any event, independent of that, for many industry insiders, it is no news that Banky W has earned a reputation whether deservedly so or not of being a ladies man. All kinds of rumors have flown all over the place but have remained largely contained in industry circles; until this recent reveal published by leading industry magazine Hip-Hop World.

The magazine doesn’t explicitly say this is Banky W but says the resemblance are striking.

Several things about this picture:

1. The Picture published below is graphic.

2. The picture which has since gone viral is said to be and does look very much like Banky W.

Banky W I Stand for Change3. Banky W has since denied it on the basis that it is not him and the head of the individual pictured is “fatter” than his. I think it is enough to say you are not the one and leave it at that. Why? Any novice knows that with the angle of this shot, if the picture is taken as close up as it is here, then needless to say, images will appear bigger and heads “fatter.” Also, people do lose weight, you know. I see a stronger argument on the eyebrow claims since Banky W always seems to have those thick signature eyebrows. Angles, however, changes things.

Folks, I really don’t know what to tell you. You make your call. Either way, I think Banky W is “capable,” no pun intended, of sorting himself out. *Sigh.*

(UPDATE: An AML reader just gave me the perfect description and word I was looking for, for Banky W. “THE HUMP Man” because he is always humping something in many of his videos. Grow up Banky W in your videos. Thank you.)

Banky W videos that are irritating to watch, at least for me. His facial expressions, body language et al. is super annoying, classless and tasteless. Maybe he just over exaggerates and needs to be a lot more natural like his colleagues. He is not the only artist in the videos. Why does he always have to take these pedestrian roles when it comes to the way he approaches the women in these videos?
