D’Banj is clear he started Mo’Hits and makes no mention of Don Jazzy in his recent Okay TV Interview below. Clearly the Ebony Magazine interview quoting him as owner of Mo’Hits with Don Jazzy as his artist was no mistake,as I said when many said it was a mistake. Politics was behind Ebony Magazine accommodating a request to go back on their publishing. They did so without an apology or clarification as is standard where such mistakes are made by such a renowned publication. What does all of these mean? Time will tell . . . as in this case.
Ebony Magazine Original Version
“Coming from Africa I’m my own manager, I have my own label called Mo’ Hits with my artists Dr. Sid, Wande Coal, Don Jazzy, D’Prince and K-Switch. I own Mo’ Hits and we’ve won numerous awards by the grace of God. Being with Kanye for the last eight months and me leading a successful label in Africa, I’ve learned a lot and I believe people will see what we’re going to do.“

Okayafrica TV caught up with the highly animated pop star D’Banj — along with his Nigerian label-mates Dr. Sid, Wande Coal, and younger bro K-Switch — to talk shop. Subjects included: Kanye West, Kanye West, the African Michael Jackson, building the pop bridge from Africa to the US, and being signed by Kanye West. With this cast of characters, we can’t wait to watch the D’Banj race to the throne.
