Happy Friday! This week was a chill week on AML for me, in case you all didn’t notice. Why? It is my birthday week. 🙂 The only hard work I wanted to do was my law job at my office. Anything beyond the scope of that, was absolutely unacceptable.
Yesterday, I began receiving the good tidings including a sweet surprise gift. I also attended a fashion show and graduation event at the prestigious Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Think of the school as the Harvard or Stanford of Fashion, but more exciting and fun because it’s fashion and you get completely soaked in beautiful colorful, sexy silhouettes, great craftmanship and innovation.
At the event, there were some very important names in the fashion industry in attendance: Sarah Burton, creative Director of Alexander McQueen, Philip Treacy, Milliner, Royal Highness Princess Reema Bandar Al-Saud, president and CEO of the ALFA and AL HAMA luxury retail corporations which operate Harvey Nichols Department Stores, Donna Karan, and DKNY stores in Saudi Arabia, Suzy Menkes, OBE, fashion editor of the International Herald Tribune, and Cathy Horyn, fashion critic for The New York Times, among others.
The Academy of Art San Francisco remains the only school that shows at the world renowned New York Fashion Week. It was an honor to be invited to the event.
Now, I prepare for tomorrow’s big day as yours truly adds another year on Cinco de Mayo (May 5th, 2012). God has been really good to me.I am blessed and hope I am a blessing to you AML Industry in informing and educating you about the law, so you increase your bottom line and your life span. 🙂
Now on to the party! I am kicking it off with a few pics of myself on the fashion end of things and some of the AML industry folks whose stories have hit the web and ultimately AML. But, to truly set it off with God’s blessings, always, I have to call on Music Entrepreneur and brilliant man Obiora Obiwon to get the party started with ‘it’s my birthday’.
Have a great weekend ahead.
Much AML love folks.
