As I reflect on my life this morning, before the partying begins, I can honestly say I am older, wiser, stronger and definitely hotter! 🙂
I have learnt so much, and grown so much. I have faced and conquered many of my fears, albeit sometimes kicking, screaming and scratching my way through them. Indeed, I now have the courage to be even more open and vulnerable as I continue to share my authentic self with the world.
In my short journey on earth so far, I have come to realize that self love lies not in loving me only when I am “perfect” but in loving my imperfect self, perfectly. In doing so, I also allow the people close to my heart to be free to love me and my imperfections, unconditionally.
I am thankful to God for all of his protection all these years over me and my loved ones. I am thankful for wisdom.
Thank you to my family, true friends, my Ladybrille and AML families and anyone who has ever supported my work. Without all of your support, I honestly don’t know where I would be.
I know and have always said to my family and friends that I was born to change and transform lives, for the better. I have always believed this wholeheartedly and still do. My dream is to be a renowned speaker, like the Les Browns of the world, while of course still having my feet firmly planted in the law, my first love.
When I look at my personal and career trajectory, I know I am a step closer to my dream and goals. Each day, I walk fully in that purpose, pursuing my passion relentlessly, knowing that my personal challenges only serve to refine the stories that I will tell to transform lives.
I am again very grateful for life, for another year and another opportunity to make an impact.
Here is to hoping that I continue to #stepintomygreatness and you all reading this do the same in your respective lives.
Happy birthday to me!
