I am THRILLED! GT the Guitarman is Back! Releases EJIKA Music Video

Share

Gt Da Guitarman EJIKATo say I am thrilled that GT DA GUITARMAN IS BACK IN THE MUSIC GAME AND LOOKS LIKE HE WILL BE STAYING FOR A WHILE IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT! Yes, I am capping all of my prior sentences so you know I am that excited!

About 2007-2008, when I really got into the works of artists at Storm Records  at the time, I would consistently ask Obi Asika, when he would solicit features on Ladybrille for his other artists, what about GT? I want GT. GT’s sound is what I want. Lol!

Obi kept saying, “it’s coming, it’s coming” but I never saw anything! Storm promised an album to all and for me both personally and professionally, I was waiting. It never came. Instead, within a span of six years, I only heard a few songs and the news that GT decided to walk away from Storm after a long time of bench warming on the sidelines at Storm.

I think the breakup was a good career move for GT. Storm, in my view, sat on him way too long. It has taken quite a while but I am glad to see GT get his bearings and now execute on a level that is competitive. There is room and a market for his kind of music. Even if there isn’t, someone has to create the opportunity and why not him?

I love his company logo, the video, and of course the song. I think it would have been nice to have the band play against a different backdrop. Nevertheless, the texture of the video and its overall quality is great. I love the styling, the story telling, in short everything works!

I am glad to see even more solid music video directors emerge in our industry. Yay! It seemed like everyone was stuck on having only Clarance Peters shoot their videos.

Check on GT’s Ejika (meaning shoulder) music video.
