Ice Prince Moves Forward with his Own Label, Now Officially a “Super Cool Cat”

A few months ago, I discussed Ice Prince’s decision to move forward with becoming a label owner. Ice Prince is allegedly signed to Chocolate City Music (label co-owned by Audu Maikori and managed by rapper M.I Abaga as President) and just last year, about this time, was appointed Vice President of Chocolate City Music.

I felt his attempt to launch his own record label made no sense. Nigeria’s music industry is very small, very young and there was  a clear conflict with the Chocolate City brand and his role there, among many reasons I stated. If you missed the article, read it here. In any event, Ice has moved on with launching his own label. All of his visual image now reflects his own brand, not Chocolate City. In fact Chocolate City is nowhere to be found. There is nothing left to say than to wish him well and see how this plays out.

NOTE: By the way, I have not listened to an Ice track for a long time. He has actually improved with his flow. Much much better. Kudos Ice.
