AML people you all may not know about Nollywood Jeta Amata’s upcoming ‘Black November: Struggle for the Niger Delta’ film. But, do sit tight. It promises to be really good. In fact, allow me to introduce Jeta, briefly. If you do not know Jeta Amata, he gave us the award winning ‘Amazing Grace’ movie which is the story of how British slave trader John Newton got inspired by a song by the people of Calabar (Cross River & Akwa Ibom included) to write the world’s most popular hymn, ‘Amazing Grace.’ It is a MUST watch film that will have you beaming from start to finish on the production quality, the great story line and the first class result. Mbong Amata (Jeta’s wife) plays lead in the story and the very talented Joke Silva also stars in it.
Speaking of Mbong Amata (Jeta’s wife), last year I got the chance to interview her in an exclusive for Ladybrille Magazine. It was her first cover and major comprehensive interview. What a beautiful woman (inside and out) with a great disposition. You will be seeing this young lady everywhere soon, especially when Black November hits the big screens here and in Nigeria. In any event, I got to interview her for the upcoming movie and followed up with her about it three weeks ago.
The film is of amazing magnitude and of late, musicians Akon and Wyclef have recently been cast in it, as reported by HiponTv. This is a good look.
Watch the clip below and check out my interview with Mbong Amata. I can’t wait for the premiere here in the States.
“One local Niger Delta community’s struggle against their own government and a multi-national oil corporation who has plundered their land and destroyed the environment.”
