Happy New Year AML people, happy new you! I hope you all like the site redesign. A friend of mine over the weekend had me over and later another friend of his who I had not met, joined us. She asked what is it that I do. Before I had the chance to explain, he said, “no, it’s more like, what doesn’t she do?” LOL! It was funny to me. I am proud of the new site. Ms. Uduak the creative/graphic designer went to work and I must say I like what I see, if I can say so myself. 🙂
This 2014 is a fantastic year for me. Nothing outwardly has changed. Inwardly, however, I BELIEVE this year will be one of my exceptional years, yet. The mindset has changed. I am looking forward to it, willing to and already hit this year putting in the requisite and necessary work for the exceptional year I know I will have. I have also given notice to any and all dragons that I know will dare to confront me during this exceptional year. What was the notice I gave? “I will slay you upon sight, you have a choice to make: a) stay away from my path; or b) cross my path and suffer the cruelty of my sword.” Yeah folks, I slay dragons. Y’all didn’t know that? Well, now you got the memo.
I am excited! I intend to and you will see a lot more entries on AML focused on personal growth. I figure while I am at it for me, I might as well inspire you all too. I am also excited because I BELIEVE that NOBODY, not TMZ, Hollywoodreporter and who else is out there? Either way, no one does legal drama like I and AML do, nobody. Prepare for 2014, it is on. We are about to hit the legal drama button like we are playing for NBA championship rings and what not.
I look forward to sharing the exciting legal courtroom battles and drama within the entertainment industry both in Africa and West side and enjoying myself completely while I am at it. Not to be stingy because my mama raised me well, I invite fellow legal colleagues, law students and industry folks interested in sharing guest posts on AML to please email me at ([email protected]). I’d love to share your work.
Finally, of course we will do music and Nollywood business on AML. But of course we will also discuss industry happenings and no, we won’t rubber stamp things to make people feel good. But you all already knew that.
But of course I will also FINALLY complete my book “Nigerian Music Industry & the Law” (working title) for you my AML audience, you deserve it. LOL! “E go shele” i.e. it will happen. Pray for me and be on me about it.
ALRIGHT FOLKS, LET’S GET THIS BALL ROLLING. “LET’S GET IT” THIS 2014 BY GETTING OUR MINDS UNSTUCK. NO EXC– USES, NO WHINNING, NO “NGBATI NGBATI,” noooooooo. NONE OF THAT. CHALLENGE YOURSELVES AS ARTISTS, CHALLENGE YOURSELVES AS FILMMAKERS, CHALLENGE YOURSELVES AS ACTORS AND ACTRESSES. CHALLENGE YOURSELVES AS ENTERTAINMENT LAWYERS, CHALLENGE YOURSELVES AS INDUSTRY BUSINESS OWNERS. DEMAND MORE FROM YOURSELVES. Go the extra mile when others won’t. Learn more, read more. Think, more. Do more. JUST DO. MOOOOOOOOOOOVE YOURSELF BEYOND THE STATUS QUO OF 2013 SO YOU CAN BE ALL THAT YOU ARE MEANT TO BE AND ENJOY THE SUCCESS THAT YOU KNOW YOU DESERVE FINANCIALLY, MENTALLY, SPIRITUALLY, EMOTIONAL AND ALL “LLY” DERIVATIVES OUT THERE.
DON’T LET ANYONE, INCLUDING YOURSELF, TELL YOU THAT YOU CAN’T (ACHIEVE) WHATEVER GOALS YOU HAVE SET FOR YOURSELVES. Don’t let the current status quo you are in that may very well look bleak determine your fate this 2014. The solution is easy. Switch on the positive mental light in your head and GO GET IT!
WELCOME TO 2014, WELCOME TO A GREAT YEAR FOR YOU AND FOR ME.
