When I met Nkem Uwaje and her (s)ister Ashim Uwaje at a friend’s wedding in 2012, I had no idea I was in the presence of greatness. Both of these ladies just had a very humble, down to earth disposition that you would never guess their accomplishments; and their remarkable contributions, thus far, to help make Nigeria a better place for the present and future generation.
Since my meeting them, I have learnt that these women and especially Nkem Uwaje-Begho (she recently got married. Sorry fellas. She is hot but can’t touch. :)) is seriously about the business of technology and on her A-game. Nkem is the MD and owner of Future Software Resources Ltd.,a turn-key web solution provider for Nigeria and Africa. She hustles hard, has such tenacity and love for our young people and is willing to do whatever it takes to educate and even the playing field for disadvantaged young people.
I am very proud to know her and her (sis) and to be part of sharing their wonderful efforts, over time, with my audience both at Ladybrille and now AML. By the way, save the date this December for their ‘Bake for Change’ initiative, which you ought to check out. I am sharing a few clips at the end of this post about Bake for Change.
Nkem is at it again. This time, it is all about the I-CONNECT project; and I totally dig and can get with this initiative and think you all would as well. See info below.
Beauty, brains, great heart, always about empowering women and a super dope entrepreneur creating employment for our people, especially our young peole. If that is not an AML winning and sexy combination, I don’t know what is.
Cheers,
Uduak
