Nollywood Director Lancelot Imasuen is one of the funniest and very passionate personalities I have met in a long while. He loves his craft and I think he always does a great job of breaking down the real situation on the ground; when it comes to filmmaking for both Nigerian and Non-Nigerians interested in the film industry. He is also a great interviewee for any journalist and a great person to have on a panel (I have worked with him in both capacity).
I also love that Lancelot wanted to be a lawyer and I think he would have made a great lawyer.
Watch the clips below where Lancelot does a great job of breaking down some of the real issues in Nollywood, from his first hand experience, and also his discussions on licensing, piracy and distribution. Thank God the industry is very slowly but surely moving on the licensing and distribution issues.
