Pictures, Video & Winners at the 2014 DMV African Entertainment Awards @rltvmedia

Raro Lae DMV 5So the fun and emerging media personality Raro Lae sent me this story that I found to be impressive. I have said for years now that African artists in the diaspora should not have to move to Africa to be successful. Revisit one of my articles on this point where I ask local promoters to support local talents here.

It is good to see the African diaspora step up its game. I am also frankly tired of all the UK accents and Nigerian accents on my social media pages, timelines and blogs. Lol! “No hating.” I just want to hear fellow Nigerian-American accents a lot more, in fact we should dominate because as you all know America takes first place when it comes to its music (and entertainment) industry, globally. 🙂 Check out the release, pictures and video interview below.

“In a community full of budding talent, and aspiring acts it is surprising that their has not been a platform to recognize and support these individuals and organizations in their successful journeys thus far. DMV African Entertainment Awards has decided to take on this history changing and ground breaking endeavor like no other organization has ever done before. A diverse board of experienced and professional business owners, event planners, and media personnels united behind this endeavor to provide an experience that the DMV has never been privileged to have.

The award show was beautiful, from production, set up, and the many talented acts who graced the stage. The red carpet hosted by RLTV Media was definitely TURNT UP, and was so much fun, but you have to watch the re-cap video to see! The DMV African Entertainment Awards 2014 Red Carpet video features all DMV Artist including Jay Cube, J-Addo DJ Claude, Moni (Bad Girl M0) J.Hansome and more on the soundtrack!

This is the first African Entertainment awards of this nature, and next year Blue Wiz Productions & The DMV AEA have announced that they are expanding to all states in The United States, and have much more in store for you in August of 2015!”
