The Tyrese Gibson Video | Why Does Almost Every Guy These Days Have Advice for “Frustrated Single Ladies”?

Thinking out loud on this one after watching Tyrese’s video. His content is solid but I am genuinely curious why most men these days always seem to have advice for “frustrated” single ladies? I also wonder why they equate being single with “frustrated.”

I genuinely wonder why many are so presumptuous that women are “frustrated” by virtue of being single. Sadly, when you look at the men dishing advice, you can’t help but feel sorry for them as they seem more in need of the advice than the single “frustrated” ladies they purport to dish advice to.

I believe society spends way too much time obsessing over women whether they be single or divorced and trying to tell them how to live their lives. I think the problem, however, is not society. It is the women that put up with these patronizing attempts or emotional manipulation and tactics. Until that changes, those who think they have a license to speak to “frustrated” single ladies will continue, and sadly, some women will convince themselves they are who these strangers say they are and act in conformity.

For the small percentage of women who read AML, I know it won’t be you. I’ll give you the best advice given to me since I was young until now. Being partnered up or marriage is simply not the most important thing in life. Focus on being the best version of yourself. Focus on your family, community and leaving the world a better place than you found it. If marriage comes while you are doing all these things, great. If it doesn’t, it is not the end of the world. If it comes at 40 or even 50, great. Do not live your life for others. Just be and live your life.

By the way, if you have this disposition and it is truly who you are, trust me when I say it is a game changer in any relationship you will find yourself in. No man will try to hang being in a relationship just for relationship sake or marriage over your head because it is simply a moot point. Indeed, I can’t get my head around all these men always dishing relationship advice and the pity party some women throw. You have a choice. Be miserable because you ain’t got a man or live life and be happy.

One last note, men are suffering and suffering in silence. The AML demographic reflects my reality as a child until now when it comes to friendships. Majority of my friends have always been male, for whatever reason. I am finding that a lot of men are suffering in silence. Within the context of law, you are also seeing the drama spill into the courtroom both on the criminal defense side of things and family law courts. Is anyone noticing men have trained women well because now, some women are a lot more brutal than men in their actions towards men? From cheating to emotional and physical abuse, among other extremely toxic relationships, men are going through it and worse having no one to really turn to.

May God help us all.
