It is amazing how the world can turn upside down in less than 24hours. Just yesterday, I was talking about Tiwa Savage and her marriage to T-Billz and remembering a prior podcast episode about the couple’s relationship allegedly being plagued by domestic violence. I was happy that what seemed to be alleged rumors evaporated and it seemed the couple was fine. Tiwa was thriving, looked beautiful, just released a music video yesterday and was planning her first U.S. tour. The industry colleague I was going down memory lane with asked if Tiwa had other things beyond music she was doing. I said, “of course.” I listed her endorsement deals, and said I was very proud of her that she was also diversifying her music business portfolio with speaking engagements, among other things.
Today, I log online and what is the first thing that greets me? It is the story of an alleged meltdown of Tiwa’s husband on social media. Below you will find the posts he allegedly shared on instagram. They have since been deleted and every major industry friend have been writing him publicly.

The alleged posts attributed to T-Billz also includes a post about depression. So, I hope that whether this is true or not, that his industry friends who attended his wedding will be at T-Billz’s door to check on him. I also hope members of the public at large will be sensitive to his case until we can at least all figure out what is going on. Depression is real and it is a mental health issue we don’t talk about often in the industry. Also, I hope his friends can find a mental health professional that can help T-Billz ASAP. I think that is the first step right now.
