“It was a gathering of A-list stars and industry shapers who came out to show love and support when
pioneer Dj Jimmy Jatt celebrated his Silver anniversary at Intercontinental hotel, Lagos.
The event which kicked off with a Red carpet interview hosted by the duo of Toyin and Onos of Ndani TV saw celebrities bring their A-game to the Red carpet of taking selfies and doing some freestyle for JimmyJatt.
“I feel great, I feel loved and I feel good seeing the number of people who turned out for today’s event said JimmyJatt.
The guests were treated to comedy, a live performance and launch of the album titled “The Industry.
“Young people should find the thing they love, follow it and then it becomes easy for it to be sustained he added.
The Industry is exclusively produced by DJ JimmyJatt under his self-owned Jimmy Inc. and new management – GidiGroove Media.”
Dj Jimmy Jatt’s “The Industry” tops iTunes on the Nigerian Chart
Following the launch of ‘The Industry’ by Cool DJ JImmyJatt, which held at Intercontinental hotel on 17 August, 2014 ‘The Industry’ now tops iTunes chart for Nigerian albums, moving 2Face’s ‘Ascension’ to second place while it takes second place in the world chart.
The album was launched to mark JimmyJatt’s 25th anniversary and features over 60 artistes. It has 26 digital tracks and it’s the biggest collaborative album out of Africa.
Glasses Up is the theme song for the 25 years anniversary of JimmyJatt. It features artistes such as 2Face Idibia, Sound Sultan, Burna boy. It is a dance hall song.
Before this new album, the biggest collaborative album was ‘The Definition’ in 2007 which was also produced by DJ JimmyJatt.

Jimmy Adewale Amu, popularly known as Cool Dj Jimmy Jatt is a renowned Disc Jockey who is known for setting the pace for Hip hop music in the country and beyond. An icon in the Nigerian entertainment industry, he has helped nurture many deejays amongst whom are Dj Waxxy, Dj Syl-D, Dj Funky J, Mix Master Tee, Dj Osar, Dj Hotega, Dj Tony Blaise, Dj XGee to mention a few. His first single ‘Stylee’ featuring Tu Face Idibia, Mode 9 and Elajoe enjoyed heavy airplay and the music video stayed on the MTV Africa countdown for weeks. This earned him several awards like Channel O Africa Music Video Award, Hip hop World Award, SoundCity Music Video Award, Nigerian Music Video Award and Nigerian Music Award nominations. He has an album ‘The Definition’ which is a mix tape featuring over 50 of Nigerian’s best artistes. Dj Jimmy Jatt has a T.V programme called ‘Jimmy’s Jump Off’ currently airing on local and international stations.
